Major league Kudos to Muscletech for their dedication to avoiding soy proteins in their low-carb bars. Soy is not for everyone and it certainly is not for me since I have serious thyroid issues. I often need these kind of highly concentrated proteins to help me maintain my level of at least 100g of protein each day. They are great for on-the-go and are tasty enough to keep you interested. My absolute favorite is the Smores, followed by Strawberry Cheesecake, then evenly distributed among most of the other flavors that Muscletech offers.

I've compared pretty much all protein bars and MuscleTech's Nitro bars come out on top. They have no sugar alcohols and they have additional vitamins and amino acids that other bars don't. The taste is great. I usually have one after a good workout. I would recommend them to anyone.

You will like these if you like a protein bar that tastes yummy but not like a Snickers bar! Smores in my favorite followed by Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate and Chocolate Crisp. My hubby only likes the Smores though.

I've tried several flavors of the Nitro-Tech Bars. My favorites are the chocolate crisp and smores. I also tried the double chocolate and peanut butter chocolate chip as well as the chocolate caramel nut crunch. I liked the flavor of the double chocolate and peanut butter chocolate chip, but I thought the texture was a bit soft. The texture of the chocolate crisp is a bit more substantial, which I like, although the 'crisp' parts are too firm, imo--the crispies are not rice-krispy-like, but much harder. The s'mores is excellent from both a taste and texture standpoint. Not too soft, not too firm, not overly sweet. Probably the best one of the lot. I was a bit disappointed by the chocolate caramel nut crunch--the flavor was not what I expected--I thought it would be a peanutty-caramel taste--the 'nut' part is 'soy nuts' not peanuts. I felt the flavor did not justify the additional calories (it has the highest calorie count of the ones I tried). Overall, though, I'd recommend the line.

It's pretty good, but I would avoid the Chocolate caramel nut crunch because the crunch comes from soy crisps which are primarily soy protein. But the others avoid the filler protein and stick to good old milk based proteins!

This is without a doubt the worst tasting bar I have ever tried, and I've tried many.
