LC Foods Ice Cream is low carb, sugar free, low lactose, high fiber, gluten free and high protein. Making your own ice cream at home has never been easier. The base mix is vanilla or chocolate, but you can add your own favorite flavors and ingredients. Don't have an ice cream maker? No problem. LC Foods Ice Cream comes with recipes with or without an ice cream maker right on the bag. Get smooth and creamy low carb ice cream every time. Make ice cream treats, soft serve or hard scoop ice cream. Add your favorite nuts, berries and flavorings.
Makes approximately 1/2 gallon of soft or hard packed ice cream.
1 ¾ cups ice water
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract (not optional)
1 cup plus 1 tbsp 0 carb per serving heavy cream
With an ice cream maker:
Put the water, the entire package of ice cream mix & vanilla in a blender. Begin on slow and work quickly to high for 2 minutes. Add cream to blender and blend on low speed for 20 seconds more. Pour ice cream mixture into a glass bowl, and place covered in the freezer for 2 hours, stirring in frozen edges after 1 hour. Poor the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker freezer bowl, and make the churn ice cream according to the manufacturer's directions. In the final minutes of freezing, add your favorite nuts, berries and flavorings. Enjoy as creamy soft serve or transfer to an air tight container filling it as full as possible, and harden or ripen for a minimum of 3 hours.
Without an ice cream maker:
You will need a blender, 3 ice cube trays, hand masher, electric mixer and a large frozen mixing bowl. Make ice cream mixture in a blender as directed above. Fill ice cube trays with mixture and freeze for approximately 6 hours until cubes are firm. Working quickly to prevent thawing, carefully put cubes from tray into the frozen bowl. Add ¾ cups iced water & ¾ cups of chilled heavy cream. Mash ice cubes with the hand masher until smooth, then use electric mixer on high to blend thoroughly. Add your favorite nuts, berries and flavorings. Enjoy as creamy soft serve or transfer to an air tight container filling it as full as possible, and harden or ripen for a minimum of 3 hours.
