Phosphatidyl Serine is a
phospholipid compound derived from soy lecithin that plays an essential role in
cell membrane composition and intercellular communication. Phosphatidyl Serine
is a major structural component of neural membranes where it assists in the
conduction of electrical impulses and facilitates the activity of
neurotransmitters involved in learning, memory and mood. These properties make
NOW® Phosphatidyl Serine an ideal supplement for the support of cognitive
function.
It's hard to really tell how much something like this does for you. Phosphatidyl serine is supposed to help you deal with stress and working out can be very stressful. I would take one pill with post-workout shake and it seemed to help with stress, but it could have just been a placebo effect. I haven't taken it in a while and I do feel more stressed, but again, that's just anecdotal. The research on phosphatidyl serine, inosital and choline seems pretty solid though, so I just ordered some more of these. One thing I can say is that I didn't notice any negative effects.
Contains NO sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, milk or preservatives. Vegetarian formula. Natural color variations may occur in this product.
Other Ingredients: Cellulose, Cellulose (capsule) and silica.
Recommended Use: As a dietary supplement, take on Vcaps 1 to 3 times daily, preferably with meal.
