August 10, 2020Reviewer: A customer in Arizona* As someone who has been eating those Konjac noodles for years...I just couldnít take it anymore! Not with spaghetti sauce anyway. This fusilli arrived today...and I made chicken parmigiana w spaghetti for the family. I cooked up half the container and ate half of that. It reminds me of the pasta sold at the food co-op I used to shop at back in the 90ís. Yeah itís not perfect...but considering itís ok for those of us w Type 2...good enough. Texturally itís not al dente (firm chew)...I cooked it until a few pieces broke off...had enough of the familiar texture and held the sauce really well. Iím very satisfied.

I eat low carb due to type 2 Diabetes and can eat a large portion without any ill effects. I know that the bag says to cook 10 minutes til al dente but it's still much too tough in my opinion.
I fill the pot with water (approx 6-8 cups of water) add 2-3 Tbsp Olive oil, 1-2 tsp Sea Salt and set it on high until it just begins to boil. I then turn the temp down to med-med high, pour the entire bag of Fusilli into the slow boiling water and give it a stir. I set the pot lid on top on an angle, allowing steam to escape and boil for 15 full minutes. If it starts to bubble over, take the lid off for a second and turn the heat down a bit. Re-adjust the lid and continue boiling. I usually stir it a time or two and it comes out perfect. Not hard and definitely not mushy or too soft. I usually make Macaroni Salad or Spagetti and have even used it for Chicken Alfredo.
I have also boiled and then froze the noodles, this works but the noodles are a bit ragged feeling after thawing. Not inedible, but not quite as nice as before freezing. Maybe freezing them in a meat sauce or something would prevent that, I haven't tried that yet. Highly recommend this product, especially if your love pasta but need to keep the carbs and sugar in check.
